Stratos Closeout — Summer 2026 Challenge
1. Sponsor
The Stratos Closeout Summer 2026 Challenge (the "Contest") is sponsored, promoted, and administered by Avo Inc. ("Avo", "Stratos", "Sponsor", "we", "our"), a Canadian corporation. Mailing address: [ENTER LEGAL MAILING ADDRESS]. Contact for Contest enquiries: contest@avo-inc.ca. Privacy enquiries: privacy@avo-inc.ca.
2. Contest period
The Contest begins at 00:00 Eastern Time on the date of public launch and ends at 23:59:59 Eastern Time on August 31, 2026 (the "Contest Period"). Only rounds submitted within the Contest Period are eligible. Sponsor’s server clock is the official timekeeper; entries with timestamps outside the Contest Period are void.
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who, as of the date of entry:
- are 18 years of age or older and have reached the age of majority in their place of residence;
- are legal residents of one of the Eligible Jurisdictions (see § 4);
- have a valid LinkedIn account in their own legal name (or, where the manual entry path is used, provide a valid email and accurate identity information);
- are following the Stratos / Avo Inc. company page on LinkedIn at the time of winner verification.
Employees, officers, directors, and contractors of Avo Inc., its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and persons residing in their same households are not eligible to win. Such persons may submit a round for recreational purposes; their entry will be saved but excluded from prize selection and from the public leaderboard. This eligibility check is automated on the basis of email domain at the moment of submission.
4. Eligible jurisdictions and exclusions
The Contest is open to residents of: all Canadian provinces and territories except Quebec; the fifty United States and the District of Columbia; the United Kingdom; and member states of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein).
The Contest is void in Quebec, and void in any jurisdiction where contests of this nature are restricted, regulated, or prohibited by law, including (without limitation): Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, the Russian Federation, and any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions by the Government of Canada, the United States, or the European Union as of the date of entry. Residents of excluded jurisdictions who attempt to enter will have their submissions rejected with a clear notice and no personal data retained beyond the IP-based country lookup result.
5. How to enter
- Primary path (LinkedIn-verified): visit the Contest site at https://closeout.avo-inc.ca/closeout, play a round, then click "Enter to Win" and sign in with LinkedIn. You will be asked to authorize Sponsor to receive your first name, last name, email address, profile photo, and LinkedIn member identifier. You may additionally provide your company and industry. Your country is derived from the IP address used to submit.
- Manual fallback path: entrants unable to use LinkedIn may enter by providing a display name, country, valid email address, and (optionally) company. Manual entries are accepted but marked unverified; tied verified entries take precedence over tied unverified entries in winner selection.
Limit one (1) leaderboard position per individual. If a single individual submits multiple rounds, only the fastest verified cycle time is recorded on the leaderboard. Attempting to register multiple accounts, using bots, scripts, or any method other than legitimate gameplay is grounds for disqualification.
6. Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
- 1st place: CAD $350 cash
- 2nd place: CAD $100 cash
- 3rd place: CAD $50 cash
Total approximate retail value of all prizes: CAD $500. Prizes are awarded as described; no substitutions, transfers, or cash equivalents except as Sponsor may elect in its sole discretion. Sponsor will arrange payment by electronic transfer within thirty (30) days of winner verification. Any taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor may issue a tax slip if required by Canadian or local law.
7. Winner selection and tiebreaker
Winners are determined by lowest simulated cycle time ("cycle hours") recorded in Sponsor’s back-end database during the Contest Period, among eligible entrants whose entries are not flagged for review. Skill in achieving accurate collars and optimal hold depth governs the cycle time; chance is not the predominant element.
Tiebreaker: if two or more eligible entrants are tied for first place at the close of the Contest Period, the grand prize will be decided by a live best 2 of 3 drill-off conducted by Sponsor at a mutually convenient time within thirty (30) days of the Contest close. The drill-off will be conducted on the same Closeout game build, with audio-visual supervision (e.g. screen share). The first entrant to win two of the three drill-off rounds wins first prize; the runner-up wins second prize; the third entrant (if any) takes third. Tied second- or third-place entrants will, at Sponsor’s discretion, be resolved by the same drill-off mechanic or by lot.
8. Winner verification and notification
Potential winners will be notified by email to the address associated with their entry within fourteen (14) days of the Contest close. Sponsor reserves the right, before awarding any prize, to verify each potential winner’s identity, age, eligibility, and compliance with these Rules, including by requiring the winner to: (a) confirm following the Stratos / Avo Inc. LinkedIn page; (b) sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and (where lawful) Publicity Release within seven (7) days of being notified; (c) participate in the tiebreaker drill-off (if applicable) under live supervision.
If a potential winner fails to respond, fails verification, declines the prize, or is otherwise determined ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to the next-highest eligible entrant at Sponsor’s discretion.
9. Publicity
Subject to applicable law (including UK/EU data-protection law), by accepting a prize the winner consents to the use of their first name, last initial, country of residence, company (if provided), and cycle time on the public leaderboard and in promotional materials announcing the winner. Full name, email address, and other personally identifying information will not be published.
10. Release of liability
By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, and assigns from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize, including without limitation tax liability, internet outages, computer errors, or unauthorized access to your account. Nothing in these Rules limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Sponsor’s rights
Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be: tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Closeout site; acting in violation of these Rules; or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time if any factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, including without limitation computer virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause; in such event, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award the prizes from among the non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of impairment. Sponsor’s decisions on all matters relating to the Contest are final and binding.
12. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Rules.
13. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contest will, to the maximum extent permitted by law, be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario sitting in Toronto, and the entrant submits to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. This clause does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections of the law of their place of residence.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Rules is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
